The increased strength of this cover has been achieved by using a one-piece forging with increased thickness in critical areas. The mounting surface has also been strengthened by creating a semisolid, one-piece ring design. The center thrust area is ground and parallel to accept turbine hubs with bearings, fiber or bimetal washers. This cover also incorporates a higher register to salvage shortened impeller covers.
