• Piston• O-RingWear at the multiple accumulator bores on TF-80/81SC, TF-60SNand TR-60SN units is very common. At the clutch and band locations, wear allows component apply oil to exhaust, resulting in delayed engagements, slipping shifts, and burnt clutches and bands.
Wear at the line pressure accumulator allows throttle signal oil leakage, which can result in reduced line pressure. The Sonnax accumulator piston kit 15741-14K incorporates an O-ring for positive sealing and annular grooves for better centering and wear prevention.
This kit fits in several locations throughout the valve bodies as shown.

The Aisin AW 6-speed units TF-80SC, TF-81SC and TF-60SN (VW 09G) each utilize two-spool valves as relay or signal valves. These valves are found in multiple circuits in all valve bodies across the AW6 family and are used to route critical clutch/brake feed and apply oil to the appropriate apply components.
Various shift concerns can accompany ratio or solenoid codes when bore wear becomes a problem in this circuit. The oversized two-spool relay/signal valve kit 15741-49K restores proper clutch/brake feed and apply pressure to the related components by functioning in a refurbished bore that provides correct hydraulic clearances.

High or low solenoid feed pressure will adversely affect shift functions controlled by those solenoids. Wear at the inboard end of the solenoid modulator valve circuit causes excessive feed pressure. This floods the solenoids and reduces reaction time, resulting in harsh shifting and high line pressure.
Wear at the outboard and mid-section reduces solenoid modulator pressure. This loss has the most effect on engagements and boost oil for line pressure rise. The Sonnax oversized solenoid modulator valve kit 39741-18K corrects wear in all areas, restoring pressure control and OE pressure calibration.
This kit can be used in either of two valve body locations. The hardcoat anodized valve with annular groves and lengthened front spool combined with a wear resistant sleeve offer precision control and extended service life.

Worn-out accumulator piston bores in listed Aisin AW 6-speed units allow pressurized transmission fluid to leak past the accumulator piston to the sump.
These leaks can result in a flare at upshift, delayed engagement, poor line rise or clutch failure.
The Sonnax accumulator piston kit 39741-42K will restore a worn accumulator bore and correct leakage problems.
• Salvages valve bodies with severe accumulator bore wear

Symptoms:
• Severe wear at accumulator bores• Low clutch oil pressure• Low TCC pressure• Low EPC pressureCause:
Since the length of the OE accumulator piston is short relative to its diameter, the effect of incidental side loading forces is increased.This characteristic, combined with relatively strong nested springs and the soft material of the valve body, results in severe wear.This extreme wear is noticeable in many low mileage units.Correction:
Installing the Sonnax sleeve creates a new accumulator bore surface in severely worn valve bodies. Our improved sleeve design provides increased wear resistance and sealing.The kit comes with an assortment of custom-designed springs which allow you to duplicate and restore OE accumulator calibration and response.

The Aisin AW 55-50SN and 6-speed valve bodies have a solenoid connector which breaks during wire harness removal. Once the bridge lock is broken, the wiring will not remain engaged.
Sonnax solenoid wire connector retainer 59947-60 snaps over the solenoid connection holding the wire terminals in place. The retainer can be installed without removing or rotating the linear solenoids.
