Transmissions listed above may exhibit insufficient line rise, resulting in delayed engagement, slipping in Reverse, poor shift quality, erratic line pressure and burnt clutches. These troubles can often be caused by wear in the OE pressure regulator valve bore and/or boost sleeve, which allows the pressure escape that provokes driveability concerns. Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized pressure regulator and boost valve kit 63741-01K eliminates pressure loss and revives line rise and shift quality in all ranges. Hardcoat anodized aluminum pressure regulator valve combats premature wear.

Also fits TCC control bore in Kia A5SR1/A5SR2 valve bodies.Nissan/Infiniti vehicles equipped with 1st and 2nd design RE5R05A valve bodies may have TCC concerns such as lockup shudder, premature or bumpy apply, slippage and/or a burnt converter. These issues can be caused by wear in the TCC control sleeve, which allows apply pressure leakage.
Vehicles equipped with RE7R01A, JR710E, JR711E and JR712E transmissions may display harsh downshifts caused by wear and leakage in the Low brake switch boost sleeve. All above issues can be solved by installing Sonnax TCC control valve/Low brake switch boost valve kit 63741-05K into the appropriate bore.- Drop-in part, no special tools required

WARNING: The RE5R05A 3rd and 4th design TCC control plunger valve has a larger diameter (.282") than the valve in this kit. Installing 63741-05K into a 3rd or 4th design application will cause excessive apply pressure, resulting in drivability concerns related to a lack of power and harsh converter apply. Do not install this kit into the TCC control bore of a 3rd or 4th design casting!

Some RE5R05A valve bodies do not contain a cooler bypass valve. Units can be identified by empty cooler bypass bore, blocked separator plate holes and separator plate code. Do not install Sonnax product into units that do not require cooler bypass valve.

- RE5RO5A Snap Ring (HD) (Superior K0108)Problem SolversThe newest product to be released in our SuperTuff solutions is USA made and ready for install, to help keep your RE5 unit out of the shop and back on the road!Cause: The factory original snap ring was very thin, narrow and just plain flimsy, with the groove depth in the case being only .050" deep the original design snap ring has no real support to keep it in place.
Over time the flexing and "bowing" effects distort the ring and cause it to Dish outwards and "pop" out of the groove.
When this occurs the retainer plate, waved "crest to crest" release spring and piston will pop out of position and cause a no-move or slip / bind-up in reverse also causing damage to the parts in the rear of the case.Fix: Install theK0108 and custom fit you new snap ring to stay in place all the time-every time!
