Symptoms:

Cause:

Wear at the plunger sleeve due to continuous oscillation of the apply valve can allow premature lockup, overheating and converter shuttle.

Correction:

The Jatco JF506E, VW 09A neutral control valve controls the low clutch operating pressure in gears 1, 2 and 3. Because the valve is constantly oscillating from solenoid pressure, it commonly wears the valve bore. Wear in this bore can result in loss of control in the low clutch circuit, causing delayed forward and slipping in any of these low gears.
