Cause:
TCC regulated apply valve bore wear can cause the apply valve to stick in the apply or release positions, resulting in the TCC not applying or soft or harsh TCC applies.
Correction:
Install this TCC regulated apply valve sleeve kit by oversizing the OE bore with the drill and reamer kit.

Symptoms: - Engine stall at idle

Cause:
TCC control bore wear allows critical pressure loss that causes TCC apply and release concerns.
Correction:
Recover hydraulic control and renew TCC operation by reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax TCC control valve sleeve.
NOTE: Tool kit F-33000-TL, required for installation of this part, is no longer in production.
WARNING:
This part only fits '03-earlier units with a .354" dia. OE TCC control valve. Measure OE valve spool diameter as shown here to confirm application. Do NOT install this part if the OE valve measures .412".

Cause:
The actuator feed valve limits pressure to the EPC and shift solenoids. Wear a the smallest diameter causes high pressure and oil loss at the larger diameters reduces line pressure.
Correction:
This highly wear-resistant sleeve allows reuse of the OEM valve and provides more valve contact for better hydraulic control.
NOTE: Always replace the O-rings on the pressure control solenoid and AFL filter O-rings while servicing this unit.

Cause:
Continuous oscillation of the pressure regulator valve causes valve body bore wear, which results in line pressure irregularities and valve instability.
Correction:
This oversized valve allows the valve body bore to be reamed to eliminate the wear while the anodized valve has extended spools to provide more stability and better wear resistance.
- Valve is hard-coat anodized to reduce wear.
- Additional spool with flats at the decrease circuit provides additional valve stability and prevents line pressure leakage.
- One valve works in both the early and late OE applications
NOTE: The Sonnax valve mimics the design of the 2000-later OE valve, but may be used in 2000-earlier valve bodies as well. The 2000-earlier pressure regulator valves had an internal cross drill to allow line to feed balance line at the end of the valve. In 2000, the cross drill was eliminated from the valve, and the spacer plate changed. If the Sonnax oversized valve is used in the 2000-earlier valve bodies, a slight modification to the spacer plate and gasket will be necessaryRequired tool:33886-TL2

Pump Shaft , with Seal
- Bearing Style: Roller bearing
Bearing and pump shaft wear are common causes of unit failure in 4T40-E transmissions. When the integral seal is damaged, pump oil pressure will cross leak into the TCC release circuit, triggering TCC stuck on codes when TCC is not applied, and causing TCC slip codes when TCC is applied. Sonnax offers 33000-01, a direct replacement pump bearing with integral seal. We recommend that you replace this part in every over haul.
