Reverse Band Strut
Vehicles with FWD Chrysler A404, A413, A470 and A670 transmissions have problems with breakage of the rear band strut, resulting in a no-Reverse situation. The thin section of the OE spring steel strut often cannot withstand the force of the servo piston rod as it applies the reverse band. This material does not have sufficient yield strength to prevent the strut from bending or breaking during high pressure situations. Sonnax reverse band strut 32710-01 will withstand the force that occurs during the apply of the band.

Governor Bracket & Spring Kit
Part No. 32204-03KA common aftermarket fix for sticking primary weights is to install a spring inside the governor body of Chrysler A404, A413, A470 and A670 units. This approach often fails because the spring jams in the bore. Sonnax governor bracket and spring kit 32204-03K is designed so the spring is outside the governor body, safely returning the governor valve to the at-rest position at stops.
- Designed to return the primary weight to the at-rest position
- Two return springs are provided, one for 4-cylinder or turbo, and one for 6-cylinder applications
- No transmission removal required
- The use of this governor bracket and return spring will slightly increase shift timing
Note: If the weight has a through bore, use the 9-coil light spring, not the 6-coil heavy spring. It is recommended to use a PTFE seal ring since cast-iron rings can contaminate the governor.
