OE front stator support bushings in ZF8HP45 units have a tendency to wear out prematurely due to sub-optimal material composition. This wear can lead to TCC apply and release concerns and harsh downshifts when TCC is engaged below 20 mph. Sonnax front stator support bushing 35036 restores worry-free operation.

WARNING: Use of an arbor press is required for correct installation.
Do not use a hydraulic press or a bushing driver/hammer combination to install, as doing so will distort the bushing and cause fitment issues.

The OE thermal bypass valve in listed units is known to get stuck in recirculation mode, only allowing fluid to circulate in the transmission and not allowing flow through the cooler. Sonnax thermal bypass eliminator kit 72760-01K allows reuse of the OE cooler block with the built-in pressure relief by removing the old OE thermal bypass valve and replacing it with a plug that permanently allows flow through the cooler.
